This car was first registered in June 1955. The owner died sometime in 1978 or 1979 and was inherited by a man who lived in Chertsey, Surrey. He kept it for a short while but decided to sell it in May 1979, advertising it in the local paper. I purchased the car from him in 1979.

At some time the first owner had painted the wings blue, fitted spotlights, a reversing light and flashing indicators. Apart from these changes the car was original. The flashing indicators supplement the original semaphore indicators (which still work) and were probably fitted as safety aid as increasingly fewer road users would be familiar with semaphores.

In the 1980s I fitted seat covers to protect the original seating material which remains in excellent condition. This is the only change that I have made though obviously there have been replacements of the usual consumable items, tyres, wiper blades and plugs etc. All other components are original including the engine. I do have an original tyre.

Though the original silver metallic paint has faded the car remains incredibly original and structurally very solid.

The car has a very low and genuine mileage (68,923). I now use it on a few occasions throughout the year, providing there is no prospect or rain, just to drive around the local country lanes.

I have a quantity of parts that will also be available. In normal circumstances the car would not be for sale.

The car is kept in a dry garage in Farnham Surrey where it can be viewed.

Sensible offers please.
